Third Life

October 7, 2011, Wednesday I was rushed to the hospital, because of
sudden severe pain on my left lower quadrant or abdomen. Early that
day, I was able to do all my household chores, everything was normal,
until I felt this horrible pain, everything changed. I was crying so
hard, I drunk pain reliever but the pain got worst and I even started
vomiting. I wanted to go to the hospital.

Sadly, the only person in
our house at that moment was my younger sister, and she doesn't know
what to do. I asked her to text our mother and our older sister, when
she hit the send button "check operator service" was written on the
screen of her phone. Damn! Luckily, my sister called, when she heard
the news she hurriedly went to our house.

Our first destination was
Lanting Hospital, but the hospital was temporary closed for
renovation. After Lanting we went to New Era Hospital, the resident
doctor said that I may be suffering from Gastroenteritis, so she
requested for a series of lab exams. While waiting for the results, I
requested for a pain reliever after an hour the pain still remains
the same. The doctor said that I should be confined in the hospital,
because of too much vomiting that it may lead to dehydration. The sad
part is the hospital has no vacancy as of the moment, so my sister and
my father decided to transfer me to another hospital. East Ave
Hospital to be exact.

At the E.R, the medical interns examined me and
requested another series of lab exams. They thought that I might be
suffering from Appendicitis. My sister had undergone a minor operation
before called Appendectomy, she don't believe that I have an
inflammation of the appendix, because the symptoms that I'm
experiencing at that time was different from what she had. So she
asked for a second opinion.

We went to the OB-ER, the obstetrician
examined me, she performed Internal Examination (IE) - she palpated my
uterus, according to her I have an "Inverted uterus". She requested
for a transvaginal ultrasound for confirmatory purposes. After 1 hour
result was released. The results confirmed her findings plus I have a
bilateral cyst in my ovaries. The doctor said that I should be
operated as soon as possible because according to the result the cyst
already ruptured and it is an emergency. Ruptured cyst means
life threatening.

Without further hesitation my family gave their
approval. Before they send me to operating table, I closed my eyes and
I prayed. Pre-op done, General Anesthesia inducted. They started the
operation at around 7:00 pm and ended at exactly 8:00 pm.
2hours post-op still at the OR lying in a stretcher at the hallway.
After 24 hours, the Nurse Assistant/aide said to me that I should get
out of the stretcher because somebody will be using it. What the hell!
I had been operated, my incision is from my umbilicus down to my
genital area and she wants me to transfer on a chair. Are you out
of your mind? But I don't have a choice; I had to follow her
instruction. At that time, still I cannot get up because of pain. I
want to punch her face, for forcing me to transfer. I cannot do
anything to defend myself.

After 2 hours they transferred me to my
room. I stayed there for 5 days. I thanked GOD for giving me another
life and I thanked all the people who helped my family financially,
emotionally for guiding them, for praying for my fast recovery. And to
all who visited me thank you guys.

I’m still waiting for the result if my cyst is a benign or malignant.
