My Bucket List

Don't you have a place or country (local or international) that you wanted to go to or things that you want to accomplish before you die or before the world ends? Before, every time I hear the word "Bucket" the first thing that comes into my mind is a bucket full of alcoholic beverages, I don't know why it has something to do with that but one thing is for sure, I'm not an alcoholic. Thanks to my younger sister, she gave me a different meaning for the word "bucket", she made me influence of her different approach that's why I come up with this list for the second time around. This list talks about the mouth-watering places that I wanted to go to so I can unravel the mystery (if they have one) and to see the beautiful scenery and enjoy it before my eyes get blurry.

1. New Caledonia - This place might not be new to you since I know that you've seen this in one of koreanovelas aired here in the country. But for some people who are not familiar of this place, I'm sure you've seen this place but you don't have any idea that this place is called New Caledonia. Clue? Spill it Farrah! Have you seen the korean version of F4 "Boys over flower"? If yes, do you remember the part there wherein Gu Jun Pyo (Lee Min Ho) and his friends went to a certain island for their summer vacation and then he asked Jan Di to accompany him in a helicopter ride and then there he confessed his true feelings for her and showed his heart? Natatandaan mo na ba? (Now playing: Almost paradise) New Caledonia is a heart-shaped Island, at first I thought that it was purposely carved into a heart shaped island but it wasn't carved at all. Meaning it is natural, God created this island so we can see his heart and to remember that he loves us.

2. Korea - A few years ago korean tv series as well as k-pops invade our country. Koreans are now part of the bandwagon; you can see them almost in every TV channels here. Because of this instance, it turned out to have a big impact on me and to the filipino crowds as well. We embraced everything about them from their hairstyles, fashion and even their food delicacies. I want to go there to unravel their secrets on how do they maintain their flawless skin.  I want to see their Teddy bear museum the one that we've seen on The Princess Hours. The famous Jeju Island, it was nominated to be part of the new 7 wonders of the world, don't have idea if they win though. I want to stroll to their Labyrinth Garden, a garden full of mazes. I think somehow it's quite similar to the black hole in a much lighter way, because when you get stucked in there I think you get much lesser anxious since it has a laid-back ambiance and you're surrounded with not-so-scary-mazes made of plants. But the thought of being stuck in a black hole makes me have a goose bumps and shiver.

3. Japan - The main reason why I love to go there is because of Hello Kitty. I'm a big fan of Hello Kitty. Admit it or not every girls has a collection of Sanrio's oh-so-cute characters during their childhood days. I'm an avid fan of Hello Kitty and friends TV series aired every Sunday during the 90's. I also have an email address before at hellokitty.com hahaha. Aminin nyo na nabaliw din kayo kay Hello Kitty. I want to go to "The Hello Kitty World" period.

4. North Pole - I want to go here because literally speaking "I'm at the Top of the Workd". I want to experience living in an igloo, what it looks like and what's inside it. Some would say that they have this
kind of condition wherein they experience a one month daytime only and vice versa. I don't know if it's true or they're just joking on me. Sorry I'm too gullible and I'm too lazy to google it. Can you researchit for me? Kidding! Honestly, the reason why I don't want to google it, it's not because I'm lazy to research it but because I want to discover it using my own eyes, "To see is to believe". I want to see real Polar Bears, Penguins and Seals. And hey I want to meet the most popular person there, I believe he's popular all over the world. Do

you know who he is? He is none other than, Santa Claus!

5. Europe - Almost everybody dream to go here. I specifically want to go to France, since kindergarten I always dream to go there I'm not exaggerating. Wanna know why? I represented France as my country in a school competition "The United Nations" my first ever pageant, since then it is tattooed on my mind that I MUST go there. A milestone in my life. I want to climb and reach the peak of Eiffel Tower and up thereI can see the bird's eye view of Paris. I want to know why it is called "The Romantic City". I want to go the Vatican City. I want to see the sistine chapel, the national archive and the colliseum. Do I have to enumerate all? I believe one sheet of paper or 5000 characters is not enough to say all the things that I wanted to do there.

6. Afghanistan - I want to go to Afghanistan does it sound weird? They say that "masarap ang bawal" I think it is applicable here haha. We're banned to go there but if I'll be given a chance I'd love to go there. They say that Afghans are all terrorists but I believe that there's an exemption. I don't want to sound like a racist but whenever we hear the world Afghanistan, Bin Laden, Twin Tower Bombing and Terrorist comes into our mind because I think that we're all fed up with all those bad publicity there. Believe it or not I want to experience what it's like to become a terrorist. (Pag nabasa to ng mama ko yari ako sigurado) I want to know how they are trained and lastly, I want to know why they're doing this and what are they fighting for? And maybe after giving them the benefit of the doubt, after hearing their side and our side (WOW! Peace Officer ang drama ko) they have a change of hear8 and by the time we can have the peace that we're longing for so long.

7. Egypt - When I was still in high school there's this computer game known as "Pharaoh" it's like The Sims wherein you will build your own community, you're in control and powerful person there. This game is not only teaching us to become responsible for our own actions, (the prime advantage of simulation games) but it also helps their country to promote and attract tourists. The things that I knew about Egypt are all from this game that is why I owe this game bigtime. I want to see Cleopatra, I want to reach the peak of a pyramid and want to know what it looks like, I want to see a real mummy. I want to experience writing in a papyrus. I want to enroll both in their Juggling and conservatory school, they are the ones who's in charge in performing whenever they have festivals for Seth, Rah and Osiris. And lastly, I want to learn how to mummify.

8. America - Is the real deal, I want to go there for so many reasons. In my entire 23 years of existence in this world aside from France I'm dying to go here. And I really hope that our petition will be granted. Anyway since I'm like a paparazzi the first thing that I want to do there is to go to the Oscars, to know what it's like to be called as an A-list, what it's like to rub elbows with royalties of an entirely different sort, what's happening inside of the vanity fair and what's the feeling of being the seat filler for the bigtime actors and actresses. I want to know the details why it is called Oscars Night when technically speaking the preshow kicked of while the sun was still high according  to Zoey Dean (NY Bestselling Author). I want to go up and sit at the top of Hollywood signage like what I've seen on Heroes Season 2 (the Claire Bennet thing-y). I want to discover why Las Vegas is called "The Sin City". I want to watch NBA Live at the Staples Center according to them the court side fee there when you convert it to Philippine peso is more likely a million peso. I want to watch prohibited. One day is not enough to say all the reasons why I'd love to go there. The thought of going there makes me feel overwhelm and honestly, in one second I can give you a thousand reasons.

9. Rio de Janeiro - I want to go here I want to meet Paulo Coelho and maybe he can share all his writing secrets to me or maybe he can empower me with all his wisdom. I also want to meet Leila Barros thefamous and gorgeous Volleyball player of Brazil. Brazil known for Ipanema and Havaianas and stuffs like that but hey there's more to Brazil. Whenever I look at the pictures of Rio de Janeiro I got overwhelmed because this place is soo pretty.

Do you know the feeling wherein a certain person tells you her recent travelling experiences then suddenly you felt like you've been there too? You got carried away with all those mouth-watering stories she had. I hope that while reading this blog post you feel the same way too and you also drool with all the eye catching scenery in that particular country. That’s all folks! have a safe trip this summer!
