My Fastbreak Experience

This is my first time to watch a charity game and hopefully this is the last. I arrived at San Juan Arena at exactly 2:30 PM. The venue was huge enough to cater all the people. It is a great experience knowing that Ballers and local artist are all united for a good cause. At first I thought that it was just a normal basketball game but it's not. The arena turned out to become a huge comedy bar; people inside the arena are all guffawing in unison.
Fastbreak Charity Game
Lia Cruz hosted the event. At 4:00 PM the game started MERALCO (Red Team) vs. SMART (White Team).
SMART TEAM
MERALCO TEAM
At the end of first quarter Gerald Anderson rock the house with his silent grand entrance. Everybody is shouting for Gerald Anderson and some are shouting "BUDOY". He checks in for the red shirts, whenever he is holding the ball everyone are shouting, we cannot blame them because Gerald Anderson is undeniably gorgeous. Before the end of second quarter Jose Manalo arrived. He is the coach of the SMART team.

At the half Jhong Hilario showcased his dancing moves to us, the Dougie Dance. Then Lia announced that there's a mini contest, the Dougie Dance Contest, the 3-Point Shootout and 2-Point Shootout. The Dougie Dance Contestants are Kiefer Ravena, Thirdy Ravena,Young JV, Joshua Webb, Luis Alandy and Gab Valenciano.

The 3-Point Shootout players are Mark Sambrano of GMA News Team, Chris Ellis of Team Pilipinas, James Yap and Allan Caidic. Ellis and Caidic battled for the final round, Caidic won with a precarious 1 point lead 13-12.
The 3-Point shootout Players
The 2 ball contest players are Nico Salva and Young JV, Champ Lui-Pio and Ervic Vijandre, Kevin Alas and Chris Tiu, Bong Ravena and his partner and Gerald Anderson and his partner. Champ and Ervic won the game with 40 points. All the winners received a cash prize and a ball courtesy of Nike.

Before third quarter starts Jose Manalo spoofed Gerald Anderson's character in Budoy. Gerald and Jose had a showdown.

5 minutes after third quarter starts we heard a whistle blow, I thought it was the referee but it's Jose, he's now the referee of the game. "Kapag nabangga  yung mga players ni Jose foul agad itatawag nya sa red team tapos 4 freethrows  ang ibibigay nya. Kapag naka3-points naman ang team nya 4 points ang score. Kapag nakahawak ng bola ang red team tatawagan na nya ng travelling o kaya 3 second violation kahit kakapasa pa lang ng bola." At the end of third quarter the white team is now leading 86-82. *luto hmm*
Whistle blew by Coach Jose
Tado is playing for the red team he's so small that he cannot get the ball. Because of his frustration he climbed like a monkey in his opponent's back I think its Joshua Webb hahaha then JP Erram lifted him so that he can shoot the ball hahaha.
Tado
Young JV is playing for the red team he's a good player although he's small he can really score, he can throw a three. He is a shooting guard whenever he is guarding Kiefer he's dancing in front of him.

Jhong Hilario is playing for the white team he’s also dancing while playing. Before shooting the ball he will do first his signature moves the back flip and all that.

Marco Alcaraz and Ervic Vijandre are playing for the white team they're both gorgeous. Ervic is a good player he really shoots well. Marco is wearing a cute basketball shoes from Nike I think its color peach? I'm not sure.

Marco's Peach Nike shoe

Champ Lui-Pio is playing for the white team he really shoot well. I'm surprised that behind his angelic voice there's also an athletic side of him. And also Rico Blanco of the red team is playing well.

John Hall is playing for the red team. He is the simplest and down to earth artist I've ever seen. After the game he's only riding in his bicycle. Some people are saying these lines “Ay! Nakabike lang sya ang galing naman, simple lang sya."

The White team won 112-107. I really enjoyed the game. Thank you Ignite Media, Mav Gonzales, Lia Cruz, Kiefer Ravena and his family and to all the sponsors for making this charity possible. More power and Godbless.
