It's been a month since the last time that I watched the Filoil Pre Season Hanes Cup. Everytime that I planned to watch it live there's something happening or an event that I have to attend to. Watching it live and on TV is way different. When you watch it live you can really feel the school spirit and you can actually feel the intensity of the game, especially when the game is about to end and yet your school team has a two point deficit then suddenly your school star player do his swish fade away shot and put the score into a deadlock, then the last thing you know is you're jumping and chanting for your team. This is really a nerve racking experience.

QUARTERFINALS EXPERIENCE

Last Wednesday my sister and I went to San Juan Arena to watch the quarterfinals to support the number one team in UAAP, the Ateneo Blue Eagles. Before we went to the arena, we went first to SM The Block to buy our tickets. Everytime that we bought tickets at SM Tickets, they never fail to annoy us.

Annoying scenes

First Encounter

game.

WHAT??? Haha daig pa ang PBA sa pagkamahal ng ticket!
My sister went home and visited the online ticketing of SM Tickets, she was shocked to see that it's already sold out.

Second Encounter

Intense Highlights

The first game was between San Beda and Benilde. It was an intense game. I was seated at the beda's side and I was scared because beda's crowd are so hot, they cussed the refs and even the Benilde players. And there's this guy that really caught my attention he challenged Benilde's coach Richard Del Rosario a fight! They exchanged words. I'm not against the San Beda Community it's just that I'm not used to that kind of crowd. Anyway the Red Lions won over the Blazers.

The second game was between UST and NU. Wow Jeric Teng, Clark Bautista and Jeric Fortuna did a superb job but sadly their score was not enough to beat the bulldogs. Ray Parks leads the NU to a victory. Nothing special or controversial happened in this game. It was a smooth sailing game.

The third game was between ADMU and FEU. Juami Tiongson and Tonino Gonzaga lead the Eagles. Juami exploded in the last quarter he bangs a back to back three point shot. The tamaraws responded to Juami's shot Mike Tolomia hit the three and as well as Bringas. Before the first half ends the other Bringas was thrown out of the court because of thrash talking. This is a tail to tail battle but in the end Ateneo won.

The last game was between DLSU and San Sebastian. This is the most intense and the most physical game. La Salle's crowds are wild, they also cussed the refs and the Stags players and they do a lot of thrash talking and yelling words that are below the belt! I kinda understand why they act like that because the refs’ calls are so unfair, they're always in favor of the STAGS. In this game it had a loooong commotion and Abueva was thrown out. The most physical thing happened there was when Jeron Teng banged on the floor because he was hit somewhere in his jaw part by a certain player of SSC-R. Luckily, La Salle survived and won.

Usually every after the game, we waited for the players to come out in their dug outs so we can strike a pose with them. Here are some of my pictures. Sadly, this is my last hoorah for Filoil. Semi finals and Finals are conflict to my schedule.
