Ever since I was a kid I've been dreaming that my room has an adjacent mini library
filled with different books and all of my gained possessions. My idea of an "ALONE TIME" is
that I am seated in a table sipping a hot coffee while flipping the pages of a
good book. I am fascinated with a book that
has a nice cover because there's a side of me
that tells that the book with a nice cover is a good catch. And oh to add it up I have a fetish with the scent of an
old and new book. It gets me high! Whenever
I bought a book I'll place my nose to the opposite
side of the spine of a book and I'll smoothly glide the pages and smell it. Geez, heaven! I never forget to do
this stuff every time I'll read and every time
I buy books.
Since I'm a bum I've had the time to catch up with the book that I started reading but left unfinished. Last week I visited a bookstore to canvass some books that I've been eyeing for so long, and I finally list down all my to-read books, hopefully in my next cut off I can snag a copy of at least one of them or I might settle with their eBooks if ever my budget is short. I wasn't able to buy some books this week because my moolah is set to buy a ticket for the Maroon 5 Concert hahaha.
Some books that are listed here might not be new to you. Some of these books were introduced to me way back in college. Because of my tight schedule, I stopped reading and I ended up having a large pile of my to-read books.
--> Veronika Decides to Die By: Paulo Coelho
This book was introduced to me by my Psychiatric Prof way back in college. It has many adaptations already. This is a story of a young girl who appears to have a perfect life, but nevertheless decides to
commit suicide, but her plan fails and she wakes up in a Mental Hospital where she is told she has a week to live. Then she fell in love to a schizophrenic guy that she met at the Institution.
--> The Perks of Being a Wallflower By: Stephen Chbosky
I've been eyeing for this book for soo long, I saw this book in National Bookstore and instantly I'm captivated with it. I believe this is now a major motion movie. This is a story of a young introvert
boy coping with first love, the suicide of his best friend and his mental illness. This book talks about "Growing up".
--> Fifty Shades of Grey
This is a "Top Pick" at National Bookstore. This is a trilogy book. This is a story about a girl (Literature student) who fell in love to a young entrepreneur. She had a chance to interviewed him and she got
desperate to get close to him and then later on she discovers the dark secrets of the entrepreneur, she found out that the Grey family is tormented by a demons.
--> The Early bird Catches the Early worm but the Second Mouse gets the Cheese By: Francis J. Kong
This book was introduced to me by my Human Behavior Prof. I bet this book is somewhat similar to Dr. Stephen Johnson's who moved my Cheese? Lately, I've been reading a lot of books that talk about life in
general.
--> The House of the Scorpion By: Nancy Farmer
Candy Magazine suggested this book, this book won't be hand picked by the Candy Mag if they ain't good. Right? This isn't just a story of an average boy; this is a story of a clone of a drug lord who defies the laws of nature through power. The boy lives in a society where clones are hated and treated like an animal.

--> Zahir By: Paulo Coelho
This is a story about a renowned author that discovered that her wife is a war correspondent and disappeared without a trace. He was so obsessed with the understanding the reason for her desertion that he leave his comfort zone trying to unveil the truth about his wife's disappearance. No doubt that this book is really p page turner since Paulo Coelho wrote this. I know that every penny that you'll spend in
this book is so worth it.
--> Unforgetable Places to See Before You Die
This is one of the favorite travel book of Patty Laurel. Since I don't have enough money to travel to different places, at least I get to see some of the beautiful places in the world without having to splurge.
Thank God I've learned to settle from travel books. Soon I can afford it, when everything falls into its proper places.
--> The Secret
This book was introduced to me by my colleague, she is a fan of a life changing books. This book talks about controlling your thoughts, desires and dreams. This book will make you realize that if you picture something you want clearly enough and claim it as your own, it will actually be given to you. Right now, I need a book that can really give me the courage and the inspiration to continue all my dreams.
--> Hope for the Flowers
This book is recommended by my friend. This book teaches us to reach for our dreams and helps us realize life's true purpose. I badly need to read this, because sometimes it frustrates me, knowing that most of my friends have finally found their dream job and here I am still caught daydreaming.
--> Crafty Girl Cool Stuff: Things to Make and Do
I'm a fan of girly-girly stuff like scrap booking. Whenever I have a spare time I always do stuffs that enhances my creativity. So I guess this is a must read book for me because doing artsy-craftsy project
always puts a smile on my face! This is a rundown of the D-I-Y Project.
--> Fallen By: Lauren Kate
--> Privilege By: Kate Brian
Since I'm not born with a silver spoon, I'm a bit curious of what it's like to be called as A-listers. I'm done with the book 1 and 2 of this novel; I have yet to read the 4 sequel of this book.
As of the moment I opt not to read stories from wattpad, need to focus on these books first. I hope I can buy all these books and can fill my half empty book shelf. If you want to experience something and yet you don't have enough money to sustain or achieve it, I suggest that you should read books, because in the world of bookworms nothing is impossible.
