I dedicate this poem to the one I once loved. I wrote this poem because I want to thank him for inspiring me, for teaching me a lesson that when you love someone you must learn how to set them free, especially when you feel that your partner is not happy anymore. I know that setting someone free is the hardest thing to do, but be brave. Life goes on! REMEMBER, that if you really are meant to be, even if somebody owns it now, someday, you’re gonna own it too. So there!
PORCUPINE
I love your hair style, it looks like a porcupine.
I love the way you look at me, I can see your sincerity.
I love your big nose, it perfectly suits you.
I love your voice; it can really make me swoon.
I love your broad shoulder; I can lay my head and sleep.
I love your long arms, especially when we intertwine.
I love your hands; it’s perfect, especially when you hold my hands.
I love you, just the way you are.
When I’m with you, I feel boundless
You give me strength, you give me hope
You made me believe, that nothing is impossible
You made me realized how special I am.
I love you; no words can describe how much you mean to me.
I wanna grow old with you
I wanna spend my whole life with you
I wanna be with you, until my last strand of hair falls.
Now, that you leave me, it was such a surreal feeling
Wishing that it was all just a dream
But life moves on, I should accept the fact that we’re done
But before I let you go, I want to thank you.
Thank you for inspiring me
Thank you for loving me
Goodbye my love
Goodbye to the one I once called PORCUPINE.
